Glasgow’s Best 5-a-side Football Pitches

Going for a game of footy in the park is all good and well - but hiring a pitch for you and your mates is arguably a way better experience. With many venues in this gigantic city offering changing rooms, on-site bars and floodlighting, take a look at all these awesome Glasgow football pitches that you can book and play at today.
1. Powerleague Glasgow
Whether you’re looking for a game of 5 or 7-a-side with your mates, Powerleague Glasgow is probably the top place in the city to go to for a kickabout. Situated on the north side of the city centre, these Glasgow football pitches are perfect for organising a game in the evenings, staying open until 10:30pm throughout the week. With a function room and bar on-site too, it makes for a great place to catch up with a pint afterwards too.
2. Goals Glasgow South
Situated in Queens Park, Goals Glasgow South also makes for a great place to go for a game of 5-a-side with your mates. Staying open ‘til 11pm throughout the week, this place boasts 9 pitches all available to hire, as well as an on-site bar with free WiFi and BT Sports playing throughout the day. Being so close to the city centre and Queens Park railway station, you can easily reach these Glasgow football pitches from anywhere else in the city.
3. Glasgow Green Football Centre
Situated in Glasgow’s large city centre park, the Glasgow Green Football Centre is owned and operated by Glasgow Life, the city’s Culture and Sport department. With eight 5-a-side pitches available to hire along with 5 full-sized pitches and three for 7-a-side, these Glasgow football pitches are great if you’re looking to bring extra people for a bigger game. And being open until 10:30pm throughout the week, there’s never a bad time to book in here.
4. Powerleague Paisley
In the south-western corner of the city you’ll find Powerleague Paisley. Around the same size as the other football pitches in Glasgow we’ve already mentioned, this place boasts 10 five-a-side pitches all available to hire throughout the week. And much like other Powerleague venues, you can play here right into the late hours, closing up around 10:30pm during the week. What’s best is that this place also has an on-site bar where you can catch up with a pint afterwards!
5. Super Soccer Glasgow
Boasting both indoor and outdoor pitches to hire, Super Soccer Glasgow can be found on the south side of the city centre close by to Shields Road underground station. With both 5 and 7-a-side pitches available, this place has 17 in total, so there’s always a chance that you’ll find a slot at a time that suits you here. Being open until 11pm throughout the week as well, it makes for a great place to go for a kickabout after work.
6. Goals Glasgow West
Situated to the west of the city centre in the Clydebank area is Goals Glasgow West. With plenty of space for people to play, these Glasgow football pitches are big enough to host seven 5-a-side games and two 7-a-side games, all layered with synthetic turf. Much like other Goals venues across the country, here you’ll also find an on-site bar & café as well as free WiFi connectivity and live sports playing throughout the day.
7. Pro-Soccer Glasgow
On the south-side of the city near the Thornliebank area is Pro-Soccer Glasgow. Like many of the other football pitches in Glasgow we’ve mentioned, this place boasts plenty of space to have a kickabout with your mates, hosting both 5-a-side and 7-a-side pitches with eight pitches in total. Whilst you do need to be a member to book in here, they offer free and easy sign-up on their website which then allows you to book your pitch 10 days in advance.
8. Glasgow Club Scotstoun
One of the biggest venues offering Glasgow football pitches for hire is the Glasgow Club Scotstoun. Located in the western part of the city, this place has 5-a-side, 7-a-side and 11-a-side pitches for hire as well as an on-site café and changing rooms. Being situated close to Jordanhill railway station, you can easily reach this venue from anywhere else in the city and even stay open until 10pm through the week, so booking a late game here shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
